MakemyWill provides an online legal portal to give visitors a general understanding of the law, an automated software solution (the “Application”) to individuals who choose to prepare their own legal documents.
MakemyWill does not provide any legal advice in connection with the free or paid Services and those free or unpaid Services are not substitutes for the advice of a lawyer. The Services made available on the Site may not be suitable for you in your particular circumstance as no general advice or Services can fit every circumstance. It is thus your responsibility to take legal advice from a lawyer when using any Services on the Site. MakemyWill does not accept any liability for any losses incurred by you as a result of your use of the Services on the Site.
The information contained on the Site is not legal advice and is not guaranteed to be correct, complete or up to date. Therefore, if you need legal advice on a specific issue, you should consult a lawyer.
Where MakemyWill assists you in relation to any advice on the laws of jurisdictions other than the UAE, any such advice is given based on the research conducted on the laws of such jurisdictions. On a case-by-case basis, on your specific request, MakemyWill can procure legal advice from lawyers in relevant jurisdictions. The relevant fee/cost shall be payable by you in advance.
MakemyWill strives to keep its legal documents accurate, current and up to date. However, because the law changes rapidly, MakemyWill cannot guarantee that all of the information on the Site or the legal documents are completely up-to-date.
From time to time, MakemyWill may perform certain services done through a lawyer or introduce our visitors to lawyers through various methods. At no time is a lawyer-client relationship fostered or created with MakemyWill through the performance of any such services.
This Site and the Services are not intended to create any lawyer-client relationship, and your use of this Site does not and will not create a lawyer-client relationship between you and MakemyWill. In connection with any Services, we do not review your answers for legal sufficiency and we do not accept any responsibility for any incomplete or incorrect information provided by you in connection with the paid Services.
In the event you wish to disengage our services obtained for any mainland, free zone, and/or offshore company at any stage, you will be required to pay a fee for the issuance of the No-Objection Certificate (NOC) for such cause.
MakemyWill respects your privacy and permits you to control the treatment of your personal information. A complete statement of MakemyWill´s current Privacy Policy can be found in our Privacy Policy. MakemyWill´s Privacy Policy is expressly incorporated into these Terms by reference.
When you open an account to use or access certain portions of the Site or the Services, you must provide complete and accurate information as requested on the registration form. You may also be asked to provide a username and password. You are entirely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password. You may not use a third party´s account, username or password which results in any unauthorised activity, at any time. You agree to notify MakemyWill immediately of any unauthorized use of your account, user name or password. MakemyWill shall not be liable for any losses you incur as a result of someone else´s use of your account or password, either with or without your knowledge. You may be held liable for any losses incurred by MakemyWill, our affiliates, officers, directors, employees, consultants, agents and representatives due to someone else´s use of your account or password.
This Site and Application are owned and operated by MakemyWill. All right, title and interest in and to the materials provided on this Site and Application, including but not limited to information, documents, logos, graphics, sounds and images (the “Materials”) are owned either by MakemyWill or by our respective third-party authors, developers or vendors (the “Third Party Providers”).
This Site may contain links to websites controlled by parties other than MakemyWill (each a “Third Party Site”). MakemyWill works with a number of partners and affiliates whose sites may be linked with MakemyWill. MakemyWill may also provide links to other citations or resources with whom it is not affiliated. MakemyWill grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use our free or paid legal documents and agreements forms (the “Legal Documents”) for your own personal use. Except as otherwise provided, you acknowledge and agree that you have no right to modify, edit, copy, reproduce, create derivative works of, reverse engineer, alter, enhance or in any way exploit any of the Legal Documents in any manner, except for modifications in filling out the information for your authorized use. Contributions to, access to and use of the User Content is subject to this paragraph and the other terms and conditions of these Terms. MakemyWill is not the publisher or author of the User Content. MakemyWill takes no responsibility and assumes no liability for any content posted by you or any third party.
Although we cannot make an absolute guarantee of system security, MakemyWill takes reasonable steps to maintain security. If you have reason to believe system security has been breached, contact us for help.
If MakemyWill´s technical staff finds that files or processes belonging to a member pose a threat to the proper technical operation of the system or to the security of other members, MakemyWill reserves the right to delete those files or to stop those processes. If the MakemyWill technical staff suspects a user name is being used by someone who is not authorized by the proper user, MakemyWill may temporarily disable that user´s access in order to preserve system security. In all such cases, MakemyWill will contact the member as soon as feasible.
MakemyWill has the right (but not the obligation), in our sole and absolute discretion, to edit, redact, remove, re-categorize to a more appropriate location or otherwise change any User Content.

EXCEPT AS PROHIBITED BY LAW, IF THERE IS LIABILITY FOUND ON THE PART OF MAKEMYWILL, IT WILL BE LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT PAID FOR THE PRODUCTS AND/OR SERVICES, AND UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL THERE BE CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.
When accessing MakemyWill or using the MakemyWill Service, you agree to obey the applicable law and you agree to respect the intellectual property rights of others. Your use of the Service and the Site is at all times governed by and subject to laws regarding copyright, trademark and other intellectual property ownership.
The Site is made available for your personal use on your own behalf.
Minors are not eligible to use the Site or Application and we ask that they do not submit any personal information to us.
By using this Site or any Applications, you expressly agree that your rights and obligations shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
Most client concerns can be resolved quickly and to the client’s satisfaction by contacting us. In the unlikely event that the MakemyWill Customer Care is unable to resolve your complaint to your satisfaction (or if MakemyWill has not been able to resolve a dispute it has with you after attempting to do so informally), we each agree to resolve those disputes through binding arbitration.
Any dispute arising out of the formation, performance, interpretation, nullification, termination or invalidation of these Terms contract or arising therefrom or related thereto in any manner whatsoever, shall be settled by arbitration in accordance with the provisions set forth under the DIAC Arbitration Rules (the “Rules”), by one arbitrator appointed in compliance with the Rules. The place and seat of Arbitration shall be Emirate of Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
MakemyWill, makemywill.ae, the colored document logo, all images and text, and all page headers, custom graphics and button icons are service marks, trademarks and/or trade dress of MakemyWill.
You acknowledge that MakemyWill reserves the right to refuse Service to anyone and to cancel user access at any time.
If MakemyWill encounters evidence of a suspicious activity in connection with any account, including, but not limited to, evidence that any account is being used by someone who is not authorized to do so, you acknowledge that MakemyWill, in its sole discretion, may opt to temporarily disable such account.
To use MakemyWill services, you must obtain access to the World Wide Web, either directly or through devices that access web-based content, and pay any service fees associated with such access. You are responsible for arranging all equipment necessary to make such connection to the World Wide Web, including a computer and Internet access. Access to certain MakemyWill services may be limited or delayed based on problems inherent in the use of Internet and electronic communications. You understand that MakemyWill is not responsible for delays, delivery failures, or other damage resulting from such problems.
MakemyWill shall not be considered in breach of or default under these Terms or any contract with you, and shall not be liable to you for any cessation, interruption, or delay in the performance of its obligations hereunder by reason of earthquake, flood, fire, storm, lightning, drought, landslide, hurricane, cyclone, typhoon, tornado, natural disaster, act of God or the public enemy, epidemic, famine or plague, action of a court or public authority, change in law, explosion, war, terrorism, armed conflict, labor strike, lockout, boycott or similar event beyond our reasonable control, whether foreseen or unforeseen (each a “Force Majeure Event”). If a Force Majeure Event continues for more than 60 days in the aggregate, MakemyWill may immediately terminate these Terms and shall have no liability to me for or as a result of any such termination.
Tax and Government Fee
All fee and other prices (“Our Fee”) mentioned on this Site are exclusive of value added taxes, any government fee and other taxes etc. (the “Tax and Government Fee”) that may be payable in connection with the provision of the Services. The Tax and Government Fee shall be payable by you in addition to Our Fee.
General Practices
You acknowledge that MakemyWill may establish general practices and limits concerning use of its in house lawyers, including without limitation the maximum number of complimentary attorney consultations you may receive in a given period of time related to one or all subjects, under Services.
Right to Change Practices
You acknowledge that MakemyWill reserves the right to change these general practices and limits at any time, in its sole discretion, with or without notice.
Referral Program
- Our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy apply to this scheme.
- If the Services availed by the friend are less than AED 2,000, the cash reward will be 10% of Our Fee paid by your friend. In other words, you and your friend will each get 10% of Our Fee received by us in that case. If Our Fee received by us from a friend is AED 2,000 or more, the cash reward to be paid by us to you and your friend will be AED 200 each.
