Who Can Register a DIFC Will?

A DIFC Will may be written by any non-Muslim individual who is at least 21 years old and owns assets in the UAE. It's interesting to note that the person making the Will need not be a resident of the UAE and that the Will can be prepared and registered without a valid Emirates ID.

What Assets Can be Covered
Under a DIFC Will?

A DIFC Will covers all your assets based in any of the UAE’s seven (7) emirates (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Umm Al Quwain, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, and Fujairah). Also, your assets based overseas can be covered through your DIFC Will. However, this is subject to our legal advice with regard to the validity of the DIFC Will in the pertinent jurisdiction.
